DESCRIPTION

Interns will be provided with hands on experience in all areas of corporate sales. The

primary duties will include lead development and tracking, initial contact, follow‐up

and customer relations. Interns will attend sales meetings and training sessions in

order to prepare them for sales calls with their assigned Aflac trainer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Students must exhibit above average verbal communication skills. Individual drive, a

strong work ethic and a winning desire to propel themselves ahead of the pack in the

competitive Houston job market.

In addition, students who complete our internship may be offered

full time positions upon graduation.

- Work with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists around common objectives tocoordinate selling efforts.
- Provide timely and competent administrative management of work hours, salescall data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization,sample and expense reporting.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Internal Sales Consultant (ISC) will be responsible for promoting and selling Invesco's full product line, primarily mutual funds, ETFs and separately managed accounts to increase sales, grow assets and develop relationships within assigned Channel and territory.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Field Sales Support
1) Partner with Wholesaler and sales management to implement plan which ensures achieving US Sales objectives based on market trends, client insight and coordinated client engagement.
2) Execute sales plans for assigned territory ensuring that sales efforts (product focus, call segmentation) of team are aligned with divisional and organizational initiatives. Ensure that activities are aligned with territory plan
3) Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts (i.e. Focus Rep)
4) Maintain contact management systems to monitor sales efforts, client contact, product campaigns, platform reviews and availability/timeliness of sales materials and resources
5) Compile key economic indicators and dispense necessary data to clients as it relates to industry products, forecasts, and company sales ideas within regulatory guidelines.
6) Field and handle issues from incoming calls, e.g., coordinate with customer service to resolve operational problems, provide general marketing support, prepare hypothetical illustrations
7) Create timely sales ideas highlighting opportunities in our funds as they relate to current market activities. Follow up with phone calls and track impact on territory
· Strategic Client Engagement/Business Development
1) Build prospecting strategy to penetrate smaller firms/lower producers through face-to-face meetings, phone and electronic contact with key decision makers as needed.
2) Review client information including literature, website, platform investment options and various internal and external resources to determine competitive marketing ideas and potential sales opportunities with these firms
3) Travel regularly within territory to participate in client home office meetings, due diligence discussions, investment presentations, marketing campaigns, special events and attendance at selected industry conferences.
· Industry Knowledge & Firm Investment Capabilities Enhancement
1) Participate in programs which raise the caliber and effectiveness of the salesforce through training on investment processes, portfolio construction principles and consultative selling.
2) Participate in accredited comprehensive training curriculum that evolves salesforce capabilities with respect to: investment discipline communication capabilities, investment discipline technical understanding, and investment discipline knowledge.
3) Effectively represent IVZ capabilities and value-added programs that meet the unique needs of each client/channel.

EDUCATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
· Series 7 and 63 registrations within 90 days of hire
· Pursuit of MBA or CFA, CIMA or similar certification a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years financial services experience, preferably in a sales capacity
· Familiarity with systems such as Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg and Zephyr

SKILLS:
· Develop advanced knowledge of investment products to have thoughtful discussions with an extremely sophisticated client base
· Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships
